Yoga Mudra For Good Health

Its the time of year for sharing.  Germs.

If you are feeling under the weather, wanting to swerve something going around, or struggling to get over a bug, why not try this very simple mudra.

In Ayurvedic Science (the sister science to yoga) good health begins with the digestive fire being in balance.

Each finger represents an element. This Mudra helps balance the digestive fire by using the fingers to stimulating the associated elemental subtle energy.

The Right Hand.  The tips of the thumb (fire), touch the tips of the index (air) and middle (ether) fingers.

The Left Hand.  The tips of the thumb (fire), touch the tips of the middle (ether) and ring (earth) finger.

 

You can practice this for a few moments here and there, ideally try and find a quite spot and practice for as long as your life will allow.  5-10 mins.
