An Introduction to Tarot Reading – Deep Dive Intuition

Stepping off the main street and into a wildlife garden in the center of town, through a door into our 13th century building, once used by pilgrims visiting Shrewsbury Abbey.  You retreat from the distractions of the modern outer world.  Into the inner space of your ancient and intuitive self.

Using yoga and meditation to access an understanding of the Tarot cards you will leave this weekend feeling reconnected with your core-self, a greater sense of self trust and tools to take home and continue to deep dive to the root of your intuitive voice.

Why should you join us?

How liberating might it feel to deeply connect with your own complete self?

Liberating for sure.  Throughout our weekend together I will help you reconnect with your sense of self trust.  The part of you that knows how to interpret what you see and hear.  So that you can gain insight into your true potential and how you can live to that potential

Do you want to explore just how perfect you already are with some fun new practices?

Our two days together is divided into morning yoga asana and guided meditation practice to help you tune into your deep intuitive well of knowledge and understanding.  Helping to prepare you to access this knowledge, to communicate with your core self just waiting to be heard.  In the afternoons we will explore the Tarot, the cards themselves, and how to read them.

Through my carefully planned classes you’ll

  • gain valuable understanding of how to engage with your intuitive self
  • have the confidence to read two different tarot spreads
  • receive my Hand Book for you to take home and refer to to make sure you can continue on your intuitive journey beyond our course
  • have plenty of time to ask questions, reflect and discuss in a safe, supportive, non-judgmental and sacred space
  • enjoy the process!  With a group of wondeful women just like you.

Wouldn’t it be great to take the focus away from external knowledge, to stop giving our power away to other people looking for answers?

You are not lacking or missing anything.  You already know the answers. I can help you begin the journey to finding them and give you the confidence to understand them.

Who this weekend is for…

Anyone who has an interest in Tarot and would like to know more about the cards and how to read them.

Perhaps you are a total beginner?

Maybe you already have some experience and would like more confidence?

This weekend will invite you to explore your intuition as a key to Tarot reading.  Using Chakra awareness exercises, yoga and meditation to prepare and focus us, you will leave this weekend with a new-found confidence in yourself, having shared a fun and uplifting experience with a new group of women.

An interest in yoga and meditation is an advantage!  If you are a complete newbie to all of this it’s totally fine.

You don’t need to know what a chakra or cup is, and you don’t need to be able to touch your toes.  All that matters is that you are interested and keen to explore!

Our Retreat…

Shrewsbury is famous for being the birth place of Charles Darwin.  What better place to contemplate our personal evolution!  Nestling in the un-spoilt Shropshire countryside by the Welsh border, it’s a picture perfect medieval market town.

A Castle, the winding River Severn, Shrewsbury Abbey; higgledy-piggledy cobbled streets full of shops, cafes, restaurants and pubs.  It gives us a quirky and crooked hub for our weekend of intuitive introspection.

Set within a wildlife garden steps away from Shrewsbury town center, our home for the weekend is The Beetle Room at The Cut Visitors Centre, Shropshire Wildlife Trust.  A 13th century building, once used by pilgrims visiting Shrewsbury Abbey, you are invited to this special secret meeting place, one of us.  Welcome and accepted.  Embraced by the safety of this town centre retreat and the group of women waiting to meet you!

The Venue.

The Cut is the Visitors Centre for the Shropshire Wildlife Trust.  In addition to The Beetle Room, our home here for the weekend, the visitor center offers a garden with outdoor seating, self-guided trails and plants for sale; a shop selling nature-inspired books, gifts, cards and bird food; a café selling hot and cold drinks, sandwiches, cake and snacks; all with a family-friendly theme.

The Beetle room has a floor to ceiling mural of the local hill the Stiperstones.  An archway hidden within the old stonework marks the navigation channel to the River Severn and doors open directly onto the beautiful wildlife garden with outdoor seating.

This is a medieval space with modern facilities and a heart deeply connected to the nature surrounding it.

By having our event here not only do we have a beautiful space, we are also supporting the work of Shropshire Wildlife Trust, the county’s leading environmental organisation. Working across the county to protect Shropshire’s wild places.

The Food!

We are just a short walk away from an abundance of cafes, restaurants and shops selling food and drinks!

The Center also has a café which will be open on Saturday.

Of course you can also bring your own and enjoy a picnic amongst the wildflowers in our little hideaway haven too!
