When women gather magic happens…

A deeply relaxing day of yoga, guided meditations, sharing, releasing and intention setting.

You will leave our day feeling supported, uplifted, focused and restored.

Imagine you have a whole day off…  Just for yourself in the beautiful and tranquil woodland surroundings of Coalbrookdale, set in the woods of the Ironbridge Gorge.

Here you find yourself with an amazing group of women for a glorious day of yoga, meditation, nature, laughter and deep relaxation. A day of guiltless self-care in a safe and supported environment.

Why should you join us?

Wouldn’t it be great to put yourself first for once?  To step away from your to-do list, your obligations, to put down everything that tires you out, irritates or bores you?  To take a day off?

Well then – TAKE A DAY OFF!  Run away to the woods with me this September!

Relax with deeply nurturing breathing exercises, yoga practice, guided meditations, gong baths and a woodland potter.

This is your time to indulge in your own self care, sanity and wellbeing.  Absolutely guilt free.

How would it feel…

  • really switching off from what you ‘should’ be doing, and do what you want to do for the day?
  • spending time with a group of like minded women in an inclusive environment?
  • diving into your inner energy well and explore ways to restore and energise yourself?
  • relaxing in a deep, whole-hearted way.  Honouring your life as it is,  knowing you can take time for yourself when you need it with the relaxation practices and ‘tools’ we explore together?

Our yoga practices will explore how mudras, meditations, mantras and pranayama’s work alongside our asana postures to bring a greater self-awareness and ease to our everyday life.  Helping you access a much deeper self-awareness and self-appreciation.  You will relax on a deep level and leave our day together feeling nourished.

What is a Full Moon Circle?

The Full Moon represents a cycle of completion.  A time to release the old and look forward.  This is a perfect time for women to gather, explore with guided meditation and journaling.  We also share, without judgement or advice.  As women we hear each other and hold a safe space for us to simply be here now.  There is never any pressure to talk or share.  You are always welcome to simply acknowledge your ‘turn’ without saying a word.

This September Full Moon falls in Pisces.  We will tap into and explore this energy as an archetype. It serves as a theme and inspiration for introspection and contemplation.

Our Woodland Hide-Away

Our woodland hide-away for the day is nestled in the heart of the Ironbridge Gorge, a World Heritage Site.  Only a couple of miles south of Shrewsbury and west of Telford.

The home of the industrial revolution, far from billowing chimneys and polution you now find a protected landscape with small eco-projects and a “Green Tourism Scheme”.

The Green Woods Centre is based in Coalbrookdale just a short way from historic Ironbridge itself.  Promoting sustainable living through a wood based economy.

We will be calling The Woodland Hall our home for the day.  A special woodframed building on the site surrounded by woodland and nature.

The Woodland Hall.

We will be calling The Woodland Hall our home for the day.  With it’s sweet chestnut pillars it’s a perfect hidaway for our Day Off.  It has natural character, is warm, inviting and safe.

This site is all about switching off and sitting in the resorative, deeply relaxing beauty of nature. Nestled in the woods you can simply walk in any direction to connect with the sounds, smells and clear air surrounding us.  Feel yourself unwind.  Allow the magic of a woodland day retreat to work on you!

If you would like to stay over for an emersive nature relaxation experience the site also offers an eco-pod, sleeping huts and camping pitches. For more info take a look here.

The Food!

You are welcome to bring a packed lunch with you.  If you don’t fancy bringing lunch with you why try a healthy lunch of veggie soup and sourdough (or gluten free) bread from the cafe.  Sitting down and sharing a meal together.  Sacred time!

The on-site Green Wood Cafe selects local independent artisan suppliers where possible and all food is made fresh to order.

Dietry requriements?  No problem!  Gluten free, dairy free, vegan and vegitarian are all catered for.  If you need anything else, just let me know when you book and I will do my best to make sure you are taken care of.

They do the best coffee I know and the cakes are divine!

About Charlotte:

Hello!  I discovered meditation over 10 years ago now and down the rabbit hole I fell!

Finding myself in a wonderland of yoga and personal and spiritual development classes, workshops, text and trainings.  I found my life and health changing for the better in every aspect.

This work is the best thing that ever happened to me.  I am passionate about sharing it with you.

Having taught both physical and on-line classes, workshops, courses and retreats I am offering this special day retreat as a deeply relaxing day off from the “should do’s” and obligations of everyday life.  A celebration of self care and joyful womeness.

If you would like to know more about me and my training please visit the “Meet Charlotte” page in the menu.

Having had a particularly difficult year with work and some personal issues, I booked to attend Charlotte’s ‘Whole Heart of a Woman’ event 3 months ago.  Sadly, I also lost my father on New Year’s Day, so the need for a little bit of ‘me time’ became ever more urgent.  I have never practised yoga before so was a little nervous about what to expect, however, I needn’t have worried as Charlotte put me and everyone at ease within minutes.  The whole experience was what I can only describe as ‘energising’.  I learnt about focusing and giving myself time for ‘me’ and the things I need to repair and forgive myself for.  I ate, meditated, walked, talked, slept and discovered a great deal in common with the other wonderful women who attended.  I cannot recommend Charlotte highly enough, she is a really lovely woman with a great deal of knowledge and experience in her field, yet as a beginner, I never felt that she overwhelmed me with any of the yoga positions – it was truly delightful.  Thank you Charlotte x

The Whole Heart of A Woman Weekend

I thoroughly enjoyed The whole heart of woman weekend. It was every thing I imagined it would be and much more. There was the perfect mix of yoga, meditation, walking, eating and chatting. The warm, accepting atmosphere created within the group allowed for perfect connection to ourselves and each other. Thank you Charlotte for sharing your knowledge and for teaching yoga in the amazing way you do. I look forward to the next one.  Tanya Russell
